Station 2: Making electric circuits** Overall management

As you are coming into Station 2 you observe that your train is connected to overhead electricity lines by sliding contacts on the top of the carriages. Your train is a part of a huge electric circuit. How do electric circuits work?

It would not be convenient to make a light globe work by holding the wires onto it by hand as you did in Station 1.

How can a globe, battery and switch be connected so you can make the globe light up when the switch is pressed? This is called an electric circuit.

Introductory activity: Using a globe, battery and switch
