SCISWeb quickly matches your ISBNs to retrieve catalogue records on the SCIS database. Schools can easily download SCIS catalogue records in MARC format. The SCIS OPAC provides search access to the SCIS database. SCIS OPAC can be used as a selection tool to locate resources appropriate for school libraries.
Over 10,000 website catalogue records on the SCIS database are free for SCISWeb subscribers. These websites are endorsed by Education Departments and catalogued to SCIS standards. They can be accessed by searching SCIS OPAC. Alternatively, library staff can use the Monthly Lists in SCISWeb to progressively download website catalogue records.
Many of the catalogue records displayed in SCIS OPAC for books also display a book cover image. A licence arrangement with Thorpe Bowker allows Curriculum Corporation to display book cover images in the SCIS database. Schools may copy the book cover images for inclusion only in their library management system. All rights of the images are reserved by the original copyright owners.
Sample SCIS catalogue records are available to download, or to view or print off.
Comprehensive instructions are located in the SCISWeb Manual which is available to view online or to print.
