SCIS offers a range of products that assist in the management of a school library.
Access to the catalogue records on the SCIS database is provided by using SCISWeb. Library staff scan or type ISBNs into SCISWeb then send them via the Internet to be matched with SCIS catalogue records.
SCIS catalogue records contain SCIS Subject Headings without references. To enhance access to library resources, SCIS Authority Files provide see and see also references relevant to local subject headings.
SCIS Subject Headings Online is a valuable cataloguing tool used to assign additional subject headings to cater for local needs in the curriculum, or to do original cataloguing.
SCIS also offers barcode scanners that are configured to read ISBN barcodes as well as a wide variety of universal barcodes, including codes of 3 of 9 (39), 128 and codabar.
