The Schools Online Thesaurus is a thesaurus for describing the subjects of online curricula content and teaching resources in the Australasian K–12 education sector. ScOT terms enhance subject access to resources relevant to students, teachers and other stakeholders in the school community. Resources designed to satisfy the learning requirements in all major learning areas, as well as the area of teaching and education itself, can be described with ScOT terms.
ScOT is available for use in content and learning management systems managed by the private sector or educational sector as determined through license agreements with Curriculum Corporation. Review ScOT online or apply for an Evaluation Licence. Various content projects where ScOT is used to aid discovery are profiled in this site.
ScOT Management Group release discussion papers and reports related to all aspects of ScOT to the ScOT Consultative Group on a regular basis.
