SCIS catalogue records are based on agreed national standards in classification, descriptive cataloguing and subject headings.
The current edition of the SCIS Standards for Cataloguing and Data Entry is the 2006 edition incorporating updates to July 2008. This update includes minor revisions to Sections 4, 5, 6 and 7 and to Appendix A.
