Chemical energy**


A matchstick has a lot of chemical energy stored in it. When the match is struck, it burns and the chemical energy in it produces heat energy and light energy.

Some substances absorb heat energy and change it into chemical energy. They can be used to cool things by absorbing the heat energy.

Our food contains the chemical energy we need to live, grow and move.
