This activity will be set up for you by your teacher.
There is a beaker containing a chemical solution. There are two solid substances connected to wires.
What to do
- Wear safety glasses.
- Dip the solids into the solution, but do not allow them to touch each other. Electricity will be generated and flow through the wires in the circuit to make the globe light up.
