'Reading not only informs and extends the reader's knowledge of the world and of people; it feeds our imaginations. I know that being an avid reader throughout my childhood was one of the most important influences on my writing ability. Like the books in this program, I devoured fact, fiction, poetry and current topics in copious amounts and I still do. Students will most certainly benefit from reading the selected texts as well as engaging in the suggested activities within the exciting concept of online curriculum.
