Module 5: Collaborative projects

Introduction

Before you begin this module, read the How to use the tutorial section, if you haven't already done so.

You can choose to complete any or all parts of this module. You can simply follow the tutorial sequentially by clicking on the Next arrow on each page or, if you have limited time, you may wish to only complete the core Core sections.

Don't forget to take a break every 20 minutes!

In this module, you will:

  • explore collaborative Internet projects;
  • look at how collaborative projects can improve student learning;
  • learn how collaborative projects might be structured;
  • find out what collaborative projects exist and how to find and join them;
  • learn how to initiate your own collaborative project.

Teachers and schools can collaborate through the Internet in many ways. This module provides a short introduction to the topic and links to further information you can explore.

Module 5 will give you a chance to see what learning possibilities may be offered by collaborative projects. It consists of the following sections:
